Large Kauri dining table made of root wood and tree trunk wood
This large dining table in the dimensions 330 x 120 cm I manufactured in my manufactory according to customer specifications from a 4543 year old original Kauri tree trunk plate with root wood, which is artfully grown in one piece. Rare unique pieces are wooden tables where the table top changes from the natural growth of the root into the tree trunk. Thus, the old Kauri tree with its original tree edges in the solid table top of this exclusive real wood table can be seen very nicely.
In the lower part of the table you can see the typical root growth of the kauri tree with its beautiful grain. This grows in all directions and thus offers a unique and artistic natural spectacle. The primal tree edges I have deliberately left as natural as they have grown. This underlines the uniqueness of this exclusive dining table with its fascinating real wood table top.
Just like all other Kauri tables made by me, this dining table is also equipped with a high-quality surface finish, which makes the surface of the table top resistant to moisture of all kinds. There are no moisture stains and your advantage is you do not have to re-care the dining table.
In this area of the massive large tabletop I have left the bark growth of the root in its original state and filled with high quality epoxy resin. In some areas, the natural resin of the kauri tree can be seen which hardens over thousands of years to golden amber. This unique and natural process is one of the special quality features that only the prehistoric Kauri wood offers. Equipped with this, Kauri real wood tables offer a touch of luxury and exclusivity with unique one of a kind. Exclusive luxury tables as I define them.
With great attention to detail, the individual natural features of this unique piece have been worked out by hand. The gnarled wood of the root requires a lot of manual work and can not be treated like a mass product. I have filled the transitions from the beautiful tree edges to the large naturally grown openings in the table top with epoxy resin and organically shaped the edges according to the natural course of the tree edges.
The rewarding result is an exclusive real wood table with the unique number 113 and value-preserving quality product with special character features.
In the rear area of the table top, the tree trunk wood can be seen. The growth becomes calmer and also offers here with the honey-golden color a special charisma and contributes to the noble living ambience. Grown in one piece, large Kauri table tops made of root wood and tree trunk wood offer a unique natural characteristic and look like a natural work of art.
