The root wood of the Kauri tree is particularly suitable for a special wooden table made from this pristine, up to 47,000-year-old wood with its growths, beautiful grain and irregular tree edges. Kauri root wood tops are also ideal for modern sculptures as unique natural works of art.
Thanks to the epoxy resin, the porous and brittle root wood can be formed into a solid and compact unit and the unique natural wood elements such as bark and the gold-colored amber, which is often grown into the root of the mighty Kauri tree, remain permanently visible and form a beautiful eye-catcher.

Unusual coffee table with 2,900 year old Kauri root wood pieces with natural tree edges "floating" in epoxy resin. To give a natural look to the unusual table top I chose slightly milky epoxy resin. As a side effect, the artistic table is less sensitive to stains and scratches.
