Natural wooden table with modern glass legs
The designer dining table with a solid 50,000-year-old table top made from a Kauri tree trunk and its distinctive tree edges shortly after completion at the photo session in my manufactory.
The modern glass legs give the Kauri wooden table a light, floating impression. The solid table top makes an impressive statement and dominates the room with its original appearance.
Each Kauri table top is unique and one of a kind. Like all Kauri wood tables made by me, this noble designer dining table also received a Unikat Sigel (Unique No. 65) as can be seen in the picture. With a corresponding certificate about the age of the table top I would like to emphasize the uniqueness of the swamp woods.
The solid tree trunk table top has grown in one piece and can be left as it grew with knots, natural or tree edges and cracks to preserve its original natural character.
I finished the organic tree edges by hand to make them splinter-free and soft to the touch. This makes them very pleasant to the touch. This results in a particularly harmonious natural character of the elegant table top.
I usually fill unevenness in the tabletop with epoxy resin, as with this dining table. The natural growth is preserved and no depressions disturb the everyday use which is very important especially for dining tables. My special surface finish makes each table very easy to clean and suitable for everyday use.
