Timeless elegance and fascinating craftsmanship

An unusual dining table that I made from an original 200 x 100 cm kauri root. This rare natural wood, which has grown in one piece, gives the dining area an incomparable elegance and exclusivity. The real wood table has the unmistakable organic tree edges that reflect the natural growth of the root.

The solid 41,000-year-old real wood table top impresses with its naturally striking, organic tree edges, which bring out the beauty of the Kauri root wood in its original form. This natural structure is emphasized by elaborate craftsmanship and feels as soft to the touch as it does to your hands.

At the customer's request, I placed a piece of root wood in the large, naturally grown opening to make it smaller and filled it with epoxy resin. To preserve the unique structure and natural beauty of the old kauri root, I finished the table top with high-quality epoxy resin. This finish not only provides a modern, satin-matt finish, but also protects the surface from influences such as scratches and moisture over the long term.
