In addition, the processing of the root wood is very time-consuming due to its alternating growth, loose and porous wood and the cracks and openings it contains. As a result, root wood tables are rare and coveted collector's items.
Despite the primitive natural character, tables made of ancient woods such as Kauri wood in combination with modern glass legs and the transparent epoxy resin fillings are timeless modern furnishings and special designer furniture. Due to the size of the old Kauri trees and a good contact to my business partner in New Zealand, with the possibility of direct and exclusive delivery of Kauri table tops to my manufactory in Goch, it is possible for me to produce large conference tables up to 5 meters long or up to 2 meters wide from one piece of wood. Absolutely outstanding unique specimens form table tops with oversizes up to 11 m from one piece of root wood. This offers worldwide only the Kauri wood, because the prehistoric trees are recovered completely with root from the swamps.
