I was able to craft an absolutely unique conference table —a rare, one-of-a-kind piece—from this impressive Kauri tabletop, which measures 4.20 m long, 2 m wide, and 13 cm thick. The tabletop grew in one single piece across its entire size. The continuous grain pattern is particularly striking. This one-of-a-kind, large solid-wood table serves as a prestigious conference table and a large meeting table.

The large, unglued solid-wood tabletop captivates with its extraordinary size and rustic, natural character. With a little imagination, you can picture just how gigantic the old Kauri trees were when they still had time to grow for up to 2,000 years. The original root growth is easily recognizable on the left side of the tabletop, where it then merges into the tree trunk.
The tree edges I have retained as originally grown, some cracks deliberately sanded out to emphasize the natural character. All artfully grown natural elements I have also retained.
The unique solid wood table is a work of art of nature and a real unique table, and at the same time suitable for daily use as a conference table.

The grain of the large conference table runs in different directions and is interspersed with cracks, intergrown bark and artistic natural features. I consolidate loose bark in the root wood area with high-quality epoxy resin. Through a special treatment , the natural growth is emphasized and a homogeneous and smooth, moisture-resistant surface is created where no wood particles protrude. Thus, the natural wood table top is easy to clean and feels soft to the touch. Tables with my treatment method do not require any further maintenance.

In exceptional cases, I travel to New Zealand myself to select a slab for you based on your desired size and natural characteristics, cut from a large root or the trunk of a Kauri tree. The slabs can be up to 11 meters long—grown in one piece, without any gluing!
I may select the log for your project while it’s still in the swamp, and then cut your custom tabletop from this Kauri tree. I’ll then craft an exceptional conference table or an exclusive solid-wood table in my workshop, specifically for your personal use and of the highest quality—all from a single source.
Origin of my " Kauri " tabletops
I left the bark ingrowth in the root area intact and filled it, along with the fine cracks, with high-quality epoxy resin. Before working on each tabletop, I dry it down to 8% moisture content to minimize the risk of cracking later on. This is essential to ensure that my customers can enjoy their Kauri tables for many years to come.
Every artistic detail I work lovingly by hand and leave them as grown by nature. Also the tree edges of the conference table offer eye-catcher and are hand flatterers at the same time. Here, too, the beautiful natural growth of these fantastic thousand-year-old natural woods can be seen.
At the front of the large conference table, the root system with its wild growth is clearly visible. Thousands of years ago, the individual root strands extended far into the New Zealand soil from this spot, providing a firm foundation for the majestic and enormous Kauri tree.
