An absolutely unique conference table and rare unique piece I could make from this 4.20 m long, 2 m wide and 13 cm thick imposing Kauri table top. Over the entire size, the tabletop has grown in one piece. The continuous grain is particularly impressive. This unique large solid wood table serves as a representative conference table and large meeting table.

The large unglued solid wood table top captivates with its extraordinary size and primal natural characteristics. With a little imagination you can see how gigantic the ancient Kauri trees were when they still had time to grow up to 2000 years. Easily recognizable is the original root growth in the left area of the tabletop which then merges into the tree trunk.
The tree edges I have retained as originally grown, some cracks deliberately sanded out to emphasize the natural character. All artfully grown natural elements I have also retained.

The grain of the large conference table runs in different directions and is interspersed with cracks, intergrown bark and artistic natural features. I consolidate loose bark in the root wood area with high-quality epoxy resin. Through a special treatment , the natural growth is emphasized and a homogeneous and smooth, moisture-resistant surface is created where no wood particles protrude. Thus, the natural wood table top is easy to clean and feels soft to the touch. Tables with my treatment method do not require any further maintenance.

In exceptional cases, I travel personally to New Zealand to select a desired plate related to size and natural characteristics, cut from a large root or from the trunk of a Kauri tree, for you. Thereby the table lengths reach up to 11 m, unglued grown in one piece!
Possibly the trunk still in the swamp is selected for your project and then your personal table top is cut from this Kauri tree. Afterwards I manufacture you in my manufactory an extraordinary conference table or an exclusive solid wood table especially for your personal use in a high quality - all from one source.
I have retained the bark ingrowth in the root area and, like the fine cracks, filled them with high-quality epoxy resin. Each table top I dry down to 8% wood moisture before processing to avoid later cracking as much as possible. This is essential so that my customers can enjoy their Kauri tables for a long time.
Every artistic detail I work lovingly by hand and leave them as grown by nature. Also the tree edges of the conference table offer eye-catcher and are hand flatterers at the same time. Here, too, the beautiful natural growth of these fantastic thousand-year-old natural woods can be seen.
In the front area of the large conference table, the root area with its wild growth can be seen very nicely. The individual root strands protruded from here far into the soil of New Zealand and gave the majestic and huge Kauri tree a firm hold thousands of years ago.
