The transition from the surface of the table top to the edge impressively shows the primal grain of the design table. According to the customer's wishes, I have made the edges straight so that the table top gets a modern rectangular basic shape and the attention is drawn entirely to the beautiful Kauri wood of the table top.
This exclusive designer table, crafted from genuine kauri wood and featuring delicate glass legs, is timelessly modern. At the front of the tabletop, you can see the fascinating natural characteristics of the root, which merges into the tree trunk at the back.
The burl wood of the kauri tree grows in all directions and is beautifully showcased in the finished tabletop, giving the table an incomparable charm. Thanks to the unimaginable size of the ancient kauri trees, I am able to craft correspondingly large tabletops from a single piece of burl wood. The result is true works of art created by nature—pieces that are unique, valuable, and serve as alternative tangible assets that provide protection against inflation.
It’s truly beautiful to see the artistry of nature here, expressed in three dimensions through “waves” and the natural growth patterns filled with epoxy resin, creating the impression of a “lake stretching into the depths.” Modern tables crafted from extraordinary and distinctive woods, such as the unique kauri wood, are always the focal point of a room and an extravagant eye-catcher at the same time.
