One of a kind designer dining table from Kauri natural root

A special unicum represents this design dining table from a large tabletop grown entirely from a solid Kauri root. In the size 225 x 140 cm grown unglued in one piece, this wooden table is an exceptional unique specimen.
The stainless steel design table frame with central column provides plenty of legroom, while the angled design also makes this dining table with its unmistakable natural look a timelessly modern design table.

The artistic-looking tabletop made of a 2900-year-old massive root of a mighty kauri tree impressively shows the unmistakable nature: the beautiful grain with the undulating growth in all directions makes the tabletop of the dining table appear in a three-dimensional landscape.
In addition, the ingrown bark and the naturally grown openings filled with epoxy resin look like lakescapes. The lovingly crafted natural edges also contribute to the unique look of the design dining table.
Natural design as no human being can reproduce it.

Here you can see the typical naturally grown edges of the root table top with its beautiful natural characteristics. I work these by hand to give them a soft feel, so that they are pleasant to the touch. Table tops made from Kauri burl wood appeal to all the senses.

In the epoxy resin filling can be seen small branches that grew out of the kauri root. The golden colored areas present in the bark are natural resins hardened to amber. These are typical of the ancient kauri trees, which form when injured during life and harden over thousands of years.
Design tables made of unusual and distinctive solid woods such as the unique Kauri wood are always the focal point in the room and eye-catcher at the same time.
Each Kauri wood table made by me remains an exceptional and exclusive unique piece and is assigned its own unique number with Sigel.

During processing, I attach great importance to high-quality workmanship. It is very important that the untreated wood is prepared for the heated and therefore dry air in the customer's living area in winter and gently dried down to 7-8% moisture content in the drying chamber before processing. This results in small cracks now (and not later at the customer's premises), which are unavoidable with burl wood and contribute to the unique appearance of the Kauri burl wood tables when filled with epoxy resin.
I "harden" the surface of my Kauri wooden tables, as well as this design dining table, in a special process, which makes it hard-wearing, durable and moisture-resistant. I manufacture each table by hand in my workshop according to the customer's measurements and wishes - everything from a single source!
In this way, the owner can enjoy an exclusive piece of jewellery that retains its value for a long time.
