An exclusive coffee table made from an inimitable root of a 2900-year-old Kauri tree. In addition to the original root wood, the epoxy resin fillings of this designer coffee table are very striking and real eye-catchers. The base is recessed so that the special features of the table top are shown off to their best advantage. A wooden table with an incomparable unique position.
The artistic and natural table top is approx. 140 x 100 cm, 6 cm thick and grown in one piece. I have largely preserved the shape and the natural growth. The natural edges have been treated to be splinter-free and soft to the touch.
The thousand-year-old Kauri wood from New Zealand with the age certificate that comes with each table offers special properties for a high-quality and exclusive wooden table. In particular, the root wood of these gigantic trees stands out in a special way. The undulating grain and fascinating natural beauty with its three-dimensional appearance with "mountains and valleys, rivers and lakes" create authentic natural landscapes. Each wooden table made from a kauri root is an incomparable work of natural art and a unique specimen.
Due to the small amount of wood on the tree, a root is naturally rare and precious. Due to its natural shape with openings and bark inclusions, it requires special expertise for processing and must be dried gently so that it does not warp and crack later on. These characteristics also make a root wood table a special piece of furniture.

Loose pieces of bark are filled with an epoxy resin. This way they solidify and remain visible. I also filled the naturally grown openings between the wooden parts with transparent resin so that the surface is even. The exclusive designer coffee table can be used to its full extent as an object of daily use without reducing its value. The timelessly modern wooden table remains a natural and valuable work of art and offers its owner long-lasting pleasure.
As with all the tables I make, this one is treated with a high quality and hard-wearing surface. The coffee table is moisture resistant to all liquids such as alcohol and water. An interesting conversation does not have to be interrupted if wine is spilled. You can simply wipe the "remains" of a nice evening away from the wooden table the next morning without hesitation and the beautiful pattern of the root wood will shine again in its previous splendour.
As you can see here, individual small root strands that come to the surface from the inside of the wood and are immortalised with epoxy resin are typical of the pristine Kauri root wood. This makes the wooden tables made of an incomparable root particularly lively and offers numerous eye-catchers. The viewer is fascinated by the uniquely beautiful nature that no human being can reproduce.
The base frame made of raw oiled steel is equipped with a heavy base plate so that tipping is made very difficult. It has an archaic effect in keeping with the burl wood tabletop and offers plenty of legroom thanks to the centrally arranged column. In addition, the base is recessed and the beautiful burl wood of the exclusive designer coffee table is impressively accentuated.

Unusual coffee table with 2,900 year old Kauri root wood pieces with natural tree edges "floating" in epoxy resin. To give a natural look to the unusual table top I chose slightly milky epoxy resin. As a side effect, the artistic table is less sensitive to stains and scratches.
