I handcrafted this special dining table from old solid red wine barrel staves. After the old barrels were disassembled, each stave was processed and assembled into an impressive table top. Traces of use and the red wine contained in the oak wood create a warm hue and are responsible for a distinctive charm of this sustainable unique wine table.

I made the base from solid oak in the classic version as a frame. This should deliberately withdraw so that the view falls out of the fancy tabletop. Here in this version in the variant 220 x 90 cm I sell as a handcrafted custom-made reasonably priced for 4,900, - €. Before selling I will provide the table top with a new high-quality surface finish which is very easy to clean, so the wine table is as good as new again.

Unique color scheme

The reddish areas were more towards the interior of the wine barrel. The black coloring comes from the iron rings that surrounded the wine barrels in your former life. The tannic acid contained in the oak wood reacted chemically with the iron and now provides the unique coloring of the wine table with the remains of the red wine in the wood.

Exclusive furniture and interior design

How the old wine barrel staves can also be reused and given a new lease of life is impressively demonstrated by my partner Peter Scheuerer in Bavaria with his master craftsmanship. He makes special floors from them in two different shades. So his customers have the possibility to choose either the reddish inside or the brownish outside of the wine barrels as visible surface.
