As an exhibit I sell this exclusive dining table and handmade wine table in the dimensions 220 x 90 cm for 5490, - € ex workshop in Goch. Not only for wine lovers, this noble dining table offers a lasting impression through the variety of colours of the old red wine barrels. Over time, the red wine leaves its residue in each barrel stave and colours it in a warm reddish-black hue. By joining together individual staves from discarded red wine barrels to form a tabletop, the wine table develops its full splendour.
Old signs of use in the previous life as wine barrels harmonise perfectly with the lively and extraordinary charisma of the old red wine barrel staves, whose previous life can be seen. Old, worn-out barrels awaken to new life, now provide further enjoyment in the form of a unique solid wood table that you will enjoy for a long time and contribute to sustainable and resource-saving living.
The top view shows very nicely how the individual wine barrel staves harmonise as a tabletop. Each wine barrel stave has its own story. The soul of the old oak red wine barrels lives on in this table.

If you are a winegrower and still have old red wine or white wine barrels in which you have stored your own wines, I can also make a wine table from this old oak wood.
First I dismantle the old barrels into individual staves. It is important to dry them gently to a moisture content of about 7 % so that the wooden table retains its shape later and no cracks appear. Now begins a time-consuming task: I cut as many straight pieces as possible out of each individual stave. This is complicated because the staves are very curved. But this creates the wonderful variety of colours of each stave, which later gives the finished wine table a fascinating appearance.
Now I put each stave together in length and width until your desired table size is reached. With a special surface treatment, the old oak wood in the wine table shines in a special brilliance and receives excellent protection and longevity:
Dining tables are usually subjected to special stresses and strains. To protect the beautiful surface of the special solid wood table for a long time, I harden the top wood structure in a special process so that it becomes more scratch-resistant. At the same time, the table top becomes resistant to alcohol and liquids without losing the naturalness and silky soft feel of the wine table. The result is a very high quality with the best suitability even for a demanding dining table in daily use. You only need to maintain the table minimally.
You will benefit from my many years of professional experience as a master carpenter, during which I have carried out many tests and experiments on test pieces in order to be able to produce very resistant and easy-care dining tables and tables from special solid woods for my customers.
You have the advantage that you get a unique wooden table that has the best possible resistance and you will enjoy it for a long time. After a nice evening, you can also wipe away wine and alcohol residues the next day; there will be no curls or stains.
After the red wine barrels have been dismantled, the inside of the barrel staves become visible, showing the typical reddish colouring of the red wine and penetrating deep into the oak wood, responsible for a warm hue on the surface of the tabletop.
