Interior Design Fair Index in Dubai

The Interior Design Fair Index in Dubai focuses on high-quality interiors for special properties. My aim was to make personal contact with interior architects and designers. My aim is to work with highly qualified, design-oriented interior design firms in the Middle East who want to set new standards for their clients.

Unique design tables made from kauri root wood for the Arabian region

The reason for my trip and trade fair appearance was that I now want to offer my work more in the UAE and neighboring countries such as Qatar and Saudi Arabia and their luxury properties. In order to explore the market for special design tablesand unique luxury tables, I took samples of kauri root wood with me on the plane (as much as I could with special luggage).

Sample table tops with different surfaces

I gave them a high-gloss polish, a silk-matt lacquer finish and a natural-feeling surface. Just as my tables are finished to a high standard, these trade fair exhibition woods are of the same quality and have a moisture-resistant surface. This means that the Kauri design tables do not need to be maintained.

I was curious to see how these natural works of art with ingrown amber, handmade with a passion for individual design, would look to the international trade audience in Dubai.

Work and material briefly explained for interested interior designers

Origin of the natural woods

As a master carpenter and artist, I work with the rare root wood of the historic Kauri trees that have lain in the swamps of New Zealand for several millennia and are still preserved today. I personally select the natural woods in New Zealand and import them to Germany. 

Exclusive design tables for every purpose

I produce coffee tables, moisture-resistant designer dining tables, representative conference tables and wall sculptures according to your wishes. Due to the imposing size of the old trees, each piece of furniture is made from a single piece of burl wood with a unique natural character. Each piece resembles a natural work of art and is an exceptional investment. I provide them with a certificate of age and their own unique number.

Tables made from wood up to 47,000 years old with real amber

Ingrown original amber enhances my work, shines golden in the wood and remains permanently visible. Liquid tree resin drips from the living Kauri tree into the root and hardens over the millennia to become genuine amber.

I only use dead wood, no trees are felled for my work.

High-quality workmanship

I process my tables to a very high quality. I dry the wood before processing it, which minimizes the risk of cracks appearing afterwards or the table top changing shape. I give every piece of work a moisture-resistant surface that is harmless to health and does not need to be refinished.

What can cooperation look like?

I have ready-made tables in stock that can be delivered relatively quickly. Or let me know your wishes, such as size and natural character. I will then send you a non-binding offer and pictures of unfinished or finished Kauri table tops. You as an interior designer or your customer can then choose the tabletop of your choice for your luxury home.

After all questions have been clarified, I will now manufacture your individual design table and deliver my work to the port of destination by a forwarding agent or you can organize the transport yourself.
