Kauri design tables with unique possibilities for furnishing exclusive villas, luxury apartments and hotels with high-end furniture
ContactIt was a special experience for me to exhibit for the first time at the Index interior design fair in the United Arab Emirates and to get to know the people, the local culture, and the city of Dubai.
The Interior Design Fair Index in Dubai focuses on high-quality interiors for special properties. My aim was to make personal contact with interior architects and designers. My aim is to work with highly qualified, design-oriented interior design firms in the Middle East who want to set new standards for their clients.
The reason for my trip, which included participating in a trade show, was that I now want to increasingly offer my work in the UAE and neighboring countries such as Qatar and Saudi Arabia—specifically in their luxury real estate markets —in order to explore the market for distinctive designer tablesand one-of-a-kind luxury tables.
I finished them with a high-gloss polish, a satin-matte lacquer, and a surface that feels natural to the touch. With their moisture-resistant finish, the Kauri design tables require no maintenance.
I was curious to see how these natural works of art with ingrown amber, handmade with a passion for individual design, would look to the international trade audience in Dubai.
As a master cabinetmaker, I work with the rare burl wood from historic kauri trees that have lain in New Zealand’s swamps for several millennia and have been preserved to this day. I personally select these natural woods in New Zealand and import them to Germany.
I produce coffee tables, moisture-resistant designer dining tables, representative conference tables and wall sculptures according to your wishes. Due to the imposing size of the old trees, each piece of furniture is made from a single piece of burl wood with a unique natural character. Each piece resembles a natural work of art and is an exceptional investment. I provide them with a certificate of age and their own unique number.
Ingrown original amber enhances my work, shines golden in the wood and remains permanently visible. Liquid tree resin drips from the living Kauri tree into the root and hardens over the millennia to become genuine amber.
I only use dead wood, no trees are felled for my work.
I process my tables to a very high quality. I dry the wood before processing it, which minimizes the risk of cracks appearing afterwards or the table top changing shape. I give every piece of work a moisture-resistant surface that is harmless to health and does not need to be refinished.

As an interior designer, you or your client can choose a custom tabletop for your property from these options.
After all questions have been clarified, I will now manufacture your individual design table and deliver my work to the port of destination by a forwarding agent or you can organize the transport yourself.
