The decomposition (rotting) of this prehistoric solid wood table top made from tree trunks is not an everyday occurrence. By filling these areas with epoxy resin, I was able to solidify them and leave them as they were over the millennia. The beautiful Kauri tree trunk wood shimmers in warm shades of color.

The tree edges are softly sanded to the touch and feel like a hand flatterer. The wormwood grain gives the ancient tree trunk wood an additional archaic natural character.

To preserve the beauty and stability of this wood grain, the affected areas are carefully sealed with high-quality epoxy resin.
