Large Kauri Root for Wooden Tables with Unique Selling Point

In order to be able to produce unusual and unique wooden tables, dining tables and conference tables with a unique selling point for my customers, I purchased an oversized root from a 47,000-year-old Kauri tree in New Zealand, measuring 3.40 x 2.00 x 1.80 meters. Arrived in Germany, I cut this in front of my workshop into individual table tops, which all have a special original natural character.

Directly on the area where the huge trees were dug out of the ground I could choose the imposing root.

As you can see, this root was originally even bigger and was cut smaller to fit into the container that brought it to Germany. I had the age of the root determined at the Leibniz Laboratory for Age Determination and Isotope Research in Kiel.
