Unfinished table tops and root from New Zealand to Germany

In front of my workshop, a delivery of unfinished Kauri table tops and a large root block made of 47,000-year-old Kauri wood is loaded out of the container by crane. The 3.40 x 2.00 x 1.80 metre root weighed 16 tonnes.

Kauri table tops and a large root from New Zealand are loaded from the container — After I had previously selected kauri wood in New Zealand, the container arrived in Germany after a 40-day sea voyage, much to my delight. In the meantime, the entire container with the kauri wood was fumigated in New Zealand and also heated to 65 degrees in Rotterdam so that no pests could spread here in Europe.

Large Kauri roots from thousand-year-old Kauri wood from New Zealand for unique table tops — The large Kauri root was sawn in two pieces in New Zealand and is now waiting in front of my workshop to be cut into table tops. The table tops will then be air-dried for 2 years and after subsequent artificial drying in my drying chamber, I will use them to make precious wooden tables.

I also ordered some large burl wood table tops in huge dimensions, grown in one piece. I will also use them to create real works of art that only nature can produce.
